Des Moines Creek Habitat Enhancements, Phase 3, King County - DNRP

LWD placed in channel in two different reaches. Structures in the upper wetland reach are designed to obstruct most flows and force inundation and connection to the adjacent wetland. Structures in the lower reach are designed to roughen the channel, promote deposition of finer gravels and add complexity to instream habitat.

Macroinvertebrate sampling will occur before habitat enhancement (2010 samples), and after habitat enhancement (2011 samples).
